Below steps worked in older versions of VMware Workstation. Due to this change, the Install/Update/Reinstall VMware Tools menu is disabled. VMware Tar Tool for Linux virtual machine is feature-frozen at version 10.3.10, so the tar tools (linux.iso) included in Workstation Pro is 10.3.10 and will not be updated. Please download the 64 bit or 32 bit image depending on the system you have. You can get it by visiting the official download page.
